Show off to your Valentine with this sweet salmon

On Valentine’s Day, you can do many things to show someone you care. Having a romantic meal for two is high on that list. If you make the meal yourself, bonus points!

Salmon makes an awesome meal for a romantic dinner and it’s rather quick and easy to make. You can easily impress that special someone, by making this simple meal.
The salmon recipe below is perfect for 2 people.

Cooking the filets 5 minutes per side produced a great tasting and flaky filet out of the average thickness filet you might buy in the store.

Save this recipe and pair it with one of the dessert recipes and you will have the setting for a nice romantic dinner with your date. Enjoy!

Sweet Bourbon Salmon
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ready in: 15 min
Yields: 2-6 oz. filets

Ingredients:
3 tbs. butter
¼ cup dark brown sugar
2-6 oz. salmon filets
2 ½ tbs. bourbon whiskey

Directions:

Using a heavy skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar until the butter and sugar are well combined. Place you salmon in the skillet, skin side down on top of the butter and sugar mixture. Cook 5 minutes, turn the salmon over and then pour the bourbon whiskey around the filets. Cook for another 5 minutes. Spoon the glaze over the salmon filets and serve immediately. The glaze will cool and harden forming a sweet buttery crust. Enjoy!
